Data from the 2000 census record 1,043 households out of which 18.6% had minors living with them. Households composed of married couples living together accounted for 42.8% versus 48.7% made up of non-families.

Figures from the 2000 census show that the per capita income rose from $41,238 to an estimated $54,479 in 2009. The median household income increased from $60,192 in 2000 to an estimated $86,090 in 2009. Male median income was almost 50% higher than that of females ($53,125 versus $35,857). Median family income was $80,605 in 2000. That year about 2.7% of the population was below the poverty line.

In 2010, the Police Department consisted of 11 full-time police officers. That year, the N.J. State Police Uniform Crime registered 75 major crimes. This results in a crime rate per 1,000 residents of 39.5 and a violent rate of 1.1. There were no murders, rapes, robberies, bias crimes or incidents of domestic violence. The reports included 2 assaults, 8 burglaries, and 11 cases of police force.

Additionally, independent data for 2010, which do not consider bias crimes, domestic violence or police force, show 929 thefts, 9 arsons and 130 motor vehicle thefts.

The 2010 data for highest educational level of residents age 25 and over reveal that 5.39% did not complete high school. Those with some college or associate’s degree represented 26.04%. Holders of a bachelor’s degree were 28.68% versus 20.65% statewide. Those with a graduate degree were 7.31% versus 22.61% statewide.

Between 2005 and 2009, males mostly engaged in finance and insurance (13%), accommodation and food services (11%), and professional, scientific and technical services (10%). Females worked in health care and social assistance (18%), educational services (13%), and retail trade (10%).
