2016 Creative Scholarship Winners

2016 Creative Scholarship Winners

Our firm is totally taken aback by the dedication and talent that our 43 scholarship applicants have shown. We asked students to answer the following prompt with their choice of creative entry:

  • Do you think the justice system focuses on punishment more than rehabilitation for criminals? What should be the central focus of our criminal justice system? Research and explain your answers.

We received essays, videos, websites, powerpoints, poetry and more. While we would love to give a scholarship to each applicant we had to choose only two winners. As someone who worked since the age of 14 and put myself through college and law school, I know first hand how difficult it can be finance a quality education.  This is a significant issue relatively unique to individuals growing up today who must find creative ways to pay for college.  Having received the benefit of several scholarships during law school, I felt this was a good time to pay it forward.
